How to Apply

Begin Your Training with Radleys Grooming Academy

Choosing a professional dog grooming qualification is an important decision. Our application process gives you an opportunity to review the course information, discuss your circumstances and make sure you select the right qualification.

Applying does not commit you to enrolling immediately. We are happy to answer your questions before you make a decision.

Step 4: Complete Your Registration Documents

When you are ready to proceed, we will send you the registration and enrolment documents.

Please complete all sections carefully and provide any requested supporting information. Fast-track applicants will also need to provide evidence of their previous qualifications, grooming experience and practical work.

We are happy to help if you have questions while completing your paperwork.

Step 5: Pay Your Deposit

A deposit is required to reserve your place.

Your place is not confirmed until we have received:

  • Your completed registration documents

  • Any required supporting evidence

  • Your agreed deposit payment

Deposit and payment information will be provided before you commit to the course.

Step 6: Receive Your Confirmation

Once your paperwork and deposit have been received, we will confirm your place in writing.

Your confirmation will include:

  • Agreed starting date

  • Attendance arrangements

  • Payment information

  • What to wear

  • Equipment requirements

  • What to bring

  • Arrival time

  • Parking instructions

  • Any preparation needed before your first day

Please do not make travel or accommodation arrangements until your place and training dates have been confirmed.

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements vary depending on the qualification.

Many of our beginner qualifications do not require previous dog grooming experience. However, learners must be able to work at the appropriate academic level and safely participate in practical grooming activities.

Fast-track routes require evidence of previous grooming knowledge and practical styling experience. Eligibility is considered individually before enrolment.

Please check the relevant qualification page for full details.

Attendance and Commitment

Regulated qualifications have specific guided-learning, practical and assessment requirements.

Before enrolling, please make sure you can commit to:

  • Attending the agreed training days

  • Arriving on time

  • Completing practical activities

  • Completing theory and portfolio work

  • Meeting assessment deadlines

  • Following academy policies and procedures

  • Working safely and professionally around dogs

Regular attendance is essential. Missed training may affect your progress and could result in additional time or costs.

Reasonable Adjustments and Learning Support

Please tell us about any medical condition, disability or learning need that may affect your training or assessment.

Where possible and permitted by the qualification requirements, we will discuss appropriate support or reasonable adjustments with you.

Providing this information will help us plan your training—it will not automatically prevent you from enrolling.
